Directors Corner

What a great time of year to be an educator! It is a time of renewed energy and looking forward to the current students moving on, then initial planning for the next school year. As you plan please be aware of the Utah Rural School summer conference at SUU July 11-14. This year the planning committee has focused on PLC development. The committee has scheduled for Dean Wilson and a team of teachers to provide breakout sessions on July 12, followed by Joe Cuidemi from Solution Tree on July 13. It is the hope of the URSA board that administrators will support this conference by attending with a team of teachers. Thank you for everything that each of you do!

Tech Tips

Tip #1. A wise man once said, "Just because you can click on it doesn't mean that you should!" Remember that viruses can happen when you don't know what you're clicking on, or clicking where you shouldn't. Be leery of emails from unknown senders, links to external sites, and ads.
Tip #2. Speaking of ads, Chrome has a great extension called "AdBlock" which helps block ads, pop-ups, and other annoying or inappropriate things that creep on to your screen. This link will take you to the Chrome Store if you want to add it.
